The JK Rowling Women’s Fund (JKRWF) is a fund established by prominent British anti-trans activist and former bestselling author JK Rowling to “offer[…] legal funding support to individuals and organsiations fighting to retain women’s sex-based rights in the workplace” (JK Rowling Women’s Fund, website index, n.d.) i.e., to bankroll anti-trans litigation. It will do so using Rowling’s considerable wealth, to the exclusion of donations and other such external contributions (ibid.).
The fund is administered on Rowling’s behalf by Turcan Connell, an Edinburgh-based law firm (JK Rowling Women’s Fund, “Privacy policy,” n.d.).

2025, May 25. Rowling acknowledges the existence of the fund on Twitter (Rowling, 2025).
